Established for over 30 years, Acer Tree Services is a specialist and professional tree company whose aim is to improve, reduce or remove trees with minimal impact on the environment. As part of that environmental commitment, we recycle 97% of our waste.
We manage all aspects of work to British Standard 3998 : 2010, providing customer peace of mind with £5m Public Liability insurance alongside £10m Employers Liability insurance.

The business is owned and managed by Joe Brandt who, along with a highly experienced team, is committed to providing the highest levels of service to its customers. Acer Tree Services are approved contractors of the Arboriculture Association, and are audited regularly holding accreditations with; Constructionline, CHAS, Safecontractor, Trustmark and SSIP Acclaim.

We carry out works for private home owners and large commercial organisations alike, ensuring all of our clients are treated with the highest levels of courteous, prompt and reliable service.
Acer Tree Services consider Health and Safety as a priority and our staff are trained to the highest standards not only in all aspects of tree surgery and the operation of associated machinery, but also in important areas such as first aid, aerial rescue, and traffic management.

We have managed areas of woodland for the Forestry Commission to enhance and generate better habitat for dormice, woodland butterflies, moths and other associated species, and we have also carried out tree work and stump removal for the Woodland Trust in the sensitive archaeological area at Little Doward Iron Age Camp.

Since our first nomination in 2018 we have continued to grow, taking on new challenges, expanding our team and raising the standard of everything we do. Being shortlisted again in 2025 is proof that our commitment to delivering a high quality, professional and friendly tree care service has not gone unnoticed.

Apprenticeships are something we feel very strongly about. Our very own Office Manager Harriet, started her career as an apprentice and went on to be awarded Apprentice of the Year — a fantastic achievement that reflects her hard work and dedication. That grounding gave her the skills and confidence to progress her career, and she is now an integral part of our team here at Acer Tree Services.

We are proud to support apprentice arborists and are passionate about growing the next generation of skilled professionals right here in Herefordshire. As a county rich in green spaces, woodlands and natural beauty, we believe it is important to invest in the young people of our community who will go on to care for and protect those landscapes for years to come.
