Chainsaw Courses

Here at Acer Tree Services we know that not all jobs need professional tree surgeons to carry them out, and that many people own or hire chainsaws for small jobs such as cutting up logs.
That chainsaw is a powerful and useful tool, but handled or maintained incorrectly it can be extremely dangerous. Every year in the UK there are serious accidents involving their use. A chainsaw is also a significant investment, but one that can give many years of use if looked after properly.
So we decided to run a workshop to provide you with the basic knowledge and skills that will allow you to maintain and operate your chainsaw safely.

Basic Chainsaw Introductory Workshop

This introductory workshop lasts one day and is open to anyone of reasonable fitness over the age of 18.

By the end of the day you will:
●    Understand the essential do’s and don’ts of chainsaw operation ensuring the safety of yourself and others
●    Have the knowledge to maintain your chainsaw in good condition thereby saving you money, and to identify and fix common problems
●    Be able to operate your chainsaw safely and to carry out basic cross cutting techniques

You can find out more about it by clicking on the brochure and you should also read our Workshop Terms & Conditions.
